home sweet home

I've been having a great time recently. I've been at home for 3 months now, time has sped past me like a gust of wind! My time has been filled with mini adventures, resulting in a month of camping weekends full of fun, friends and fabulousness :)

I've been travelling the world for the last two years absorbing the cultures of some amazing countries but I have realised recently how easy it is to forget the beauty of home. I made it my mission to see more of Scotland and really see what I've been neglecting.

The Beautiful Isle of Skye.

Eilean Donan Castle, Skye.

It's almost impossible for me to see all the people I want to in 3 months so I decided to create a facebook event and invite all my friends to join me on a road trip to Skye. I went this weekend with some of my best friends and my big sis. It was amazing. Everything that could possibly go wrong in 48hours, did! It was all part of the adventure though. Our epic journey resulted in one night sleeping in the car, two burst tyres (on the same car), one AA call out and after a long car journey one friend missed their train stop due to a malfunctioning door. Good times!

This place is amazing!! It is the oldest Castle in Scotland to be continuously inhabited by the same family. 'The Graffiti Project' was launched here a few years ago...

'The idea was simple and original: take the vibrant and often transient art form of Brazilian graffiti, out of its predominantly urban context and apply it to the ancient and permanent walls of an historic rural castle in Scotland.

The graffiti project sparked a burst of media attention followed by a mass of private parties on the grounds of the castle. Recently an annual festival was started that embraces the spirit of the Graffiti project and provides fun times for music lovers.

I head back to my life at sea on Saturday! Im looking forward to it, but I'm going to miss Scotland and all my wonderful friends and family. My new ship is the Dawn Princess. I join it in New York! Yey!

I'd better get packing.

Ciao for now xx

Festival Fever...

So, next weekend is all about Glastonbury or is it? I'm ditching the mainstream and I'm off to The Wee Tree Party. It's completely different to the usual music festival, with a pedal powered sound system, tree planting and recycled toilet paper it offers an amazing eco-friendly vibe.

Festival Chic is really all about layers and usually the best styles look thrown together at the last minute. I've been searching the internet for the best in festival chic...

A hat is a festival MUST HAVE!! The sun always comes out when you least expect it, and it hides the 2nd day bad hair.

I am LOVING this dress! The bold print works perfectly with the amber bag.

Wellies can enhance any outfit. These girls look effortlessly chic. The bunt orange wellies go perfectly with the khaki, cream and denim colour palette of the look. I love how she's coordinated her lipstick to match too.

I am also LOVING the celeb looks at Coachella 2010.
Cat Deeley looks great in this embroidered playsuit.

Kate Bosworth always looks amazing!! how does she do it? The tie-dye halter dress is right on trend for this season.

If only we could guarantee the weather in Scotland!! I'd love to be wearing my favourtie Gladiator sandals next weekend! Ah well, nevermind. Wellies are the next best thing anyway :)

Love. Life. Laughter.

Welcome to my life :-)

It's a pretty colourful place, I think you might like it.

I am extremely artistic and I tend to see the beauty in everything. My job allows me to travel the world so I find myself constantly inspired by the things around me. This Blog is my virtual visual diary, my own little creative archive.
